In less than a year of launching our WordPress social sharing plugin, Social Snap has surpassed 50,000 downloads.
Fifty. Thousand. Downloads.

We can’t say thank you enough to everyone that has adopted Social Snap as their go-to social sharing plugin for WordPress. It’s been a fun ride watching customers leverage Social Snap. We love talking with customers and gaining all the valuable feedback.

At the time of this post, we’re on version 1.1.5.1 of Social Snap. We have been focused on improving our plugin. Our goal is to be the leading social media plugin for WordPress.
Period.
This first year was mostly spent on stability, bug fixes, migrations, integrations, etc. We wanted to make sure the product we’re offering just works. Simple as that.
Who doesn’t love a product that “just works”.
What’s next for Social Snap?
In the coming releases of Social Snap, we’re working on 2 of our most anticipated features.
- Social Content Locker – Have the ability to ask your visitors to share your post in order to access the content behind the button. This is a great way to increase your social sharing and engagement with your visitors.
- Facebook Messenger Chat – Not only can you share your content socially with your visitors but you’ll also be able to connect with them socially. This add-on will feature new ways to leverage Facebook Messenger Chat right from your site.
Looking forward to our next Milestone
As we take time to reflect on how far we’ve come, we know there’s a lot of work ahead of us. Like we said, our goal is to continue to be the leading social media WordPress plugin.
