By using the “Boost Old Post” add-on feature from Social Snap, you can easily revive your existing posts by automatically posting them on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook. It’s a great way to leverage all of your existing content and reach new visitors.

Step 1. Install and Activate Boost Old Posts Add-On
When you log in to your Social Snap account, you’ll see a “Downloads” section at the bottom. You’ll see access to download your additional social sharing add-ons.
Download the Boost Old Posts AddOn.
Step 2. Enable and Setup How You Share Old Blog Posts.
Once you enable the Boost Old Posts add-on, you’ll have to start adding the social network accounts you want to share your content with.
Remember, this feature works with Twitter and LinkedIn. Social Snap used to support Facebook until the API was updated.

Step 3. Authenticate Accounts on Social Networks.
Depending on what Social Network you’ll be connecting you will need different keys to authenticate. You will see links within the admin to help you

Step 4. Adjust Boost Old Blog Post Settings within Social Snap
These settings allow you to set general rules and default settings for all shareable content. Default settings can be overruled per entry, such as post content, hashtags, additional text before and after.
- How many posts to publish daily: Maximum number of posts to be publish during a 24 hour period. Posts will be published in even intervals depending on the number.
- Minimum post age (in days): Post must be older than 1 day.
- Maximum post age (in days): Insert 0 if you want unlimited age.
- Share a post more than once: Allow posts to be shared multiple times.
- Exclude categories: Don’t post an entry from these categories. Custom taxonomies are included.
- Share Post Types: Which post types you want to share.
- Post Content: Set default format of the content.
- Post Hashtags: Set default hashtags of the content.
- Additional text (before): Add text to the beginning of the generated post.
- Additional text (after): Add text to the end of the generated post.
